Subject, lighting or composition

I liked the last post about composition and technical ability.
So the 3 main parts of a photography are Subject, Lighting, and
Composition. I personally feel that Composition is the most important
element. Anyone agree/disagree? And if you disagree, why?
Not trying to start an argumant - just an interesting discussion on
thios slow and rainy Friday.

Re: Subject, lighting or composition

Thanks for commenting. I did not mean to insult, never do and would not
know how to do it.
Character, setting, plot. Fine. In that I stand corrected. And sorry,
english is not my first language.
We are talking about superficial things. In literature character,
setting and plot do not make a book, they do not set a great book apart
from the rest.
How about honesty, dedication, integrity?
How about emotional and intellectual attachment to what You write about
or what You photograph?
A lot of people photograph the same subjects in a same way because that
is what everybody else does, that is the right thing to do. They (sure,
I have done the same thing) do what everybody thinks is right.
Why that? Photography is free. Why should I take someone else´s pictures?
Hey, very sorry, no insult intended.

Re: Subject, lighting or composition

No, no, no.
The most important parts of literature are paper weight, lined or
unlined, pencil lead number, and cursive v. block lettering.

Re: Subject, lighting or composition

Vaino,
Correct me if I'm wrong - that was an insult, wasn't it? Why even
bother responding if the only thing you have to say is something
insulting?
Oh, and by the way - of literature - that would be Character, Setting,
Plot - not Noun, Verb, Pronoun, and Adjectives (no adverbs) - similar
to how the most important aspects in composing music is Rhythm,
Harmony, and Melody.
Noun, verb, pronoun, adjective - that is more akin to language and
communication - not specifically Literature.
But, you obviously don't want to have a friendly discussion - my bad
for posting the message.

Re: Subject, lighting or composition

Sure. And the four most important parts of literature are verbs, nouns,
pronouns and adjectives.
