Turning a positive to a negative?????

Hi, i turned my photo from a pinhole camera from a negative to a
positive, and i suddenly came up up with an idea. can i do the same
thing that i did turning my negative to a positive but opposite so i
can make a positive a negative? i seemed like a good idea. dos anyone
have any good thoughts to this or times i should expose?
thanx

How did you do it? In the typical process, the sensitized material is
developed to a negative after exposure. In order to develop it as a
positive, you would partially develop it, reexpose it to a strong light,
and then finish developing. (That is not exactly how it is done, just my
recollection.)
A camera is a camera, even if it is a pinhole camera. If you are getting
a positive image, you may be grossly overexposing. Try much shorter
exposures and see what develops.
