Need To Know
Perhaps someone else has experienced a similar problem I've encountered
with a compact flash card.
I've often used an e-Film Pr0 Delkin Compact Flash 640mb card. I've
never encountered a problem when using this device. Then suddenly,
without any warning, the compact flash card will not function in either
of my cameras. When inserted in the 1DMKII, the monitor displays a need
to format the card but when attempting to format, the card can't be
formatted. When installed in my 30D, "error cf" is displayed and the
card can't be formatted.
This compact flash card has never been abused. Its never been dropped,
gotten wet, or been difficult to insert in either camera or in any
computer. I don't have a clue as to why the card failed. It's worked
well for about the last 8 months, until it suddenly died.
Has anyone encountered the same problem with a compact flash card and
does anyone know what may have been the cause of its failure. I'm not
overly concerned that it failed but I would like to know what may have
caused the card to fail.
