Re: Spot the effect

It reminds me of a children's book called, "A Bad Case of the Stripes" where
a girl comes down with a sickness that makes her turn all sorts of weird
colors. A fun book. It turns out that she has a problem with trying to
please everyone else but herself...so however someone says she should she
turns into that...literlally. :)
Finally she realizes she should just be herself, and of course all her weird
appearances go away...

Re: Spot the effect

Ah. Oh well.
There's a tunnel near here that has a an overhang that is a grid of deep
hollow bricks. At midday in mid June, when the sun is highest it casts
an amazing pattern for about a hundred meters before the tunnel proper
starts. One day I'll risk the ticket to shoot the effect as it casts
the pattern on the road and the traffic running through...
Cheers,
Alan.

Re: Spot the effect

I posted the answer... Here it is:
This light was shining through a small window, which cast a beam of light
through a shark enclosure in San Diego's Scripps Aquraium. It is not an
intentionally-created effect...but during just the right moment and the
right time of year, it's pretty interesting.

Re: Spot the effect

I bet it's the light spectrum split up by cut glass. The prism effect.

Might be a beveled-glass panel in a door or window nearby?
