You should forward these pics along with the location to your
department of natural resources. If they're anything like the DNR in
Michigan, they'll see that the bird is taken care of.

I wouldn't worry too much about Spike. You know how these kids are
today with their piercings and all. It wouldn't surprise me to see him
have a fish tatoo tomorrow.

I hope you're right Bill. Poor Spike. It distresses me to see him
like that, thinking that maybe he's suffering. I'm worried of that
nail rusting, or Spike stabbing himself.
