Using Polarizing Filter With Skylight Filter

I just picked up a Hoya 49mm circular polarizer. The question I pose to you
is this, I use Hoya Skylight 1B filters on my 55mm and 135mm lenses. I've
read that with wide angle lenses you shouldn't use additional filters with
the polarizer. But with the 55mm and upwards am I at risk of vignetting if I
use the skylight as well as the polarizer?
Firstly I put the polarizer right over the skylight, but then thought if I
put the skylight over the polarizer it would be good for protection mainly,
but also warming the image slightly since the polarizer loses a stop or
two..
Am I heading for bad news?

Re: Using Polarizing Filter With Skylight Filter

I don't know Bret, or Scott, or you. But a quick review of this
thread demonstrates that only you has been dishonest.
There is *never* any excuse for that kind of name calling.
Please use a bit of common sense, such as directing your
comments about a poster to what has been said in the articles
posted.
It appears that is *exactly* what you are doing. Unable to
respond with useful commentary, you resort to *gratuitous*
*insults* unrelated to anything previously stated. You roll
over and project *your* faults on the person you speak to. You
haven't told us much about Bret, but you certainly have done
well at indicating exactly how you rate yourself!
You lack integrity. That is a false statement, and anyone who
checks back in this thread can verify that *you* are the one who
instigated the insults.
I also took a look at the URL's posted for Bret's images.
*Damned* *impressive!* You don't seem to hold a candle to Bret
either as a Usenet snarling dog, or as a photographer...

Actually, I think I know who she is - I've already posted that msg - so
you are her friend?
She's a bitch who had to throw some insults - excuse me for not being a
pussy and rolling over - and dude - pay attention - my insults were in
response to hers - how could you NOT know that?

Re: Using Polarizing Filter With Skylight Filter

I did not say I cared, I just said clearly you are new to the group.
If you have been here for a year or so then clearly you have not read
many of Annika's posts.I am not trying to insult you here, but just
about everyone who have been here a while can tell by some of the
insults you have thrown at Annika that you don't really know who
Annika is.

Re: Using Polarizing Filter With Skylight Filter

First off - why do you care - secondly - been in the group for probably
a year - lastly, whether I'm new or not - what does that have to do
with anything - the problem with usenet is that from time to time you
get some nasty asshole who has to start in with insults instead of
advice - the so-called "trolls" - I'll be damned if I'm gonna let an
asshole go without a poke or two.

Re: Using Polarizing Filter With Skylight Filter

I do think you have some points about the filter, but you clearly are
new to this group.
