PICNICS LOVE THE 20D !

Me and the lovely Mrs. Annika went for a little picnic lunch today at
my favorite outdoor photo studio. Here's a little guy the wife spotted
trying to hide in the foilage:

I would've missed seeing that one had the lovely Mrs. Annika not been
so observant.
Here's a few more I managed to squeeze off before the wife dragged me
home for an afternoon of hot and passionate chores around the house
(BTW, anybody know how to fix a clothes dryer?):

They have lots of those in New Orleans......I called them, "flying
cockroaches" for years, and then someone told me they were "Palmetto bugs".
They like to hang of the drapes, and when disturbed, they always fly right
at your face......

That does not look like a mouse. It looks like a young rat. And from
the color of the rat it is domesticated. In other words meant to be
someone's pet. These rats are not the same kind that are in the sewers
of the streets. These poor things are domesticated and know no
enemies. I can't help but feel sorry for them. I mean, they are
experimented on by labs, fed to snakes, etc. I'm the first to say I
don't like rats, but I do respect the life of every animal. I know
this is nature in the wild, but these particular domesticated rats
aren't savvy on who is their enemy. He was raised by man.

Personally I hate all bugs, but it's amazing how cockroaches always seem
to be the most hated of them all. Here in Durban, South Africa we have a
very humid summer and we get these flying cockroaches buzzing in from
the docks (which are pretty close to where we live). You never seen
anybody move as fast to get the spray as I do when those suckers arrive!
My personal pet hate though is ants. Roaches I can deal with, ants are
like a living disease that you can never eradicate!

LOL......actually he is more of a tender**** than I am. I've seen him
go out of his way to release them. Except cockroaches. When we lived
in an infested apartment, he showed no mercy. Thank God we moved and
haven't seen the likes of them for years.

That's his story and he's stickin' widdit. What he doesn't tell you is
that as soon as he's alone with the little buggers he squishes 'em!

To fix dryer, open Yellow Pages, look in appliance repairs section, call
a number, get a quote.

Re: PICNICS LOVE THE 20D !

yuuuuck..........I hate roaches! Sorry Scott, but they are top of the
list of bugs to avoid for me.
When I visit Hawaii I'll bring a cordless vaccum as Bill suggested.
I'll feel comfortable then.

Re: PICNICS LOVE THE 20D !

think you're right! I had a dog who loved her picture taken. She
I wish my cats would do that....They wait until I open the shutter, and then
they move their heads or ears, or something. I have many pictures of them
where you can see the background behind their ears........

I think you're right! I had a dog who loved her picture taken. She
would even freeze in mid-walk if I said to her "hold it now, don't
move". She would freeze, and wouldn't move until she heard the shutter
click. Then she would fall on her side looking rather demure and open
her legs! LOL .......too bad there wasn't a Playdog magazine. She
would have made centerfold for sure.
