Nikon F2 w/ MD-2/MB-1 Not Firing

OK - I put the 10 batteries in the MB-1 and both of the red checklights
glow. I set the MD-2 setting to "C", shutter speed to 250 and the
firing rate to M2 - But when I press the trigger button (on the MD-2)
nothing happens.
Any ideas?

The F2 was a totaly mechanical camera. It should work without connecting
to the MD2, and if it does, check the connection on the bottom. There
is a little hole where a pin from the MD2 goes in to fire the shutter.
Make sure it is not covered or blocked by dirt and that the camera still
fires from it. Then make sure that the MD2 is actually pushing it up.
