Another Day Another Camera

Yes, faithful friends, and the kooks and loons, too, last weekend on my (at
least) annual trip to Chicago, I decided to do more than just browse Central
Camera, I decided to buy a camera! No, it's not digital, in fact, it's not
even 35mm (apologies for the OT post)--it's medium-format. One could say
this camera has a stellar reputation for quality of lens and robustness of
build, but one would have to be tongue in cheek, ignorant, or out-right
lieing to do so--I bought a Holga. ;-)

Good fun, and surprisingly easy to use. Cost $19. Just look at that lovely
lens flare!

Thnks Matt. I just tried saving a jpg as an icon in CS2 but I can't see
that file type available. I guess it's off to the shareware we go!

Re: Another Day Another Camera

Just create an icon named favicon.icon and put it on your web's root
directory (right next to the home page file). I think. It's been a while.
I believe the latest photoshop can create icons. There are also some
shareware progs that can, but most are time limited, and then you have to
pay.

Cool pix, Matt. Tell me, how do you get that little icon to appear in
the address bar of the browser when people visit your site? Can I do it
in Dreamweaver?

Re: Another Day Another Camera

I've been tempted to buy a Holga for years. Just got the 'blad last
year so a better place to use 6x6 film. To get the Holga look I just
leave the clear lens cap in place.
Cheers,
Alan

Ah yes... I know of some great restaurants.
We favor Mediterranean cuisine but we're open to anything... be glad
to meet you in Chicago to have a meal. Happen to know some great
*authentic* places off the beaten path.
Gimmee a holler next time you're in town.

Re: Another Day Another Camera

Thanks Rich--I'm still thinking about buying a lensbaby, though. Do you
have one, perchance? I'd love to stop by your place, unfortunately, I don't
think Amtrak stops there. Perhaps you could wend your way downtown for
dinner and some "pops"?
