Re: Denver, radius of 750 km - vacation 750 km radius from Denver gives you: Lincoln, Nebraska Wichita, Kansas Amarillo & Lubbock, Texas Sante Fe & Albuquerque, New Mexico Grand Canyon Salt Lake City, Utah Twin Falls, Idaho Yellowstone Billings, Montana Cheyenne, Wyoming The entire state of Colorado Pretty much all of Utah & Wyoming Most of Nebraska & Kansas Western Oklahoma and the Texas Panhandle Northern New Mexico and Arizona. Depends on what you want ... For flatlands, vast unbroken horizons go east For majestic mountains go west. Purple mountains majesty and amber waves of grain ... see Pikes Peak just west of Colorado Springs. Within the specified radius: Colorado has Mesa Verde NP, Yucca House NM, Great Sand Dunes NM, Rocky Mountain NP, and Dinosaur NM. Kansas has Tallgrass Prairi Natinoal Preserve, Santa Fe National Historic Trail, Lewis & Clark National Historic Trail, California National Historic Trail New Mexico has Aztec Ruins NM, Chaco Culture NHP, Capulin NM Four Corners - common point to Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico and Utah. There's not a lot there, just a kind of country flea market & geodetic marker. Arizona has Canyon de Chelly NM, Petrified Forest & Painted Desert NP, Meteor Crater, Grand Canyon NP Utah has Rainbow Bridge NP, Natural Bridges NM, Zion NP, Golden Spike NHS, the Great Salt Lake Idaho has Craters of the Moon NM and the western part of Yellowstone NP Wyoming has Yellowstone NP, Grand Teton NP, Devils Tower NM (Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind) Other than that, there's hardly anything worth seeing.
