You put your Leica or Leica mount lens onto it. If the DMR quality is anything to go by, I would expect this M8 to sell extremely well. Rumours I have heard are that it will be 10MP with a 1.3x crop factor. The marking of the lenses is apparently to provide the camera with input as to what lens is currently mounted, which in turn will instruct the electronics to adapt the image in-camera according to a set of parameters. -- http://www.nikongear.com/ DD
