20D: THE BETTER MOUSETRAP !!!

Well sports fans, finally a beautiful Saturday here in Tennessee
without the 90-degree temperatures and the 90% humidity we've been
having. I went to my usual haunt this morning and it was a pretty slow
day animal-wise. I did manage to capture a few decent ones, however,
including this first shot of a hawk flying with his little buddy in
tow.

The little bird flies right along with the hawk, sometimes landing on
his back for a free ride.
It's quite a scene. I didn't notice what the hawk had in his claw
until I got home.
Yum .... lunch!
Here's a few others I took today:

Didn't I post you some last year? We went to a nearby private reserve in
December and my shots mostly sucked. Giraffe, rhino, zebra, springbok,
etc.

Annika, it's quality not quantity that counts in photography.

Rhinos are surprisingly docile, which might explain why they were on the
endangered list for so long. It's the hippos you have to be very wary
of.
If wildlife is your thing, you have to come. There's just no two ways
about it.

I'd probably be gored by a rhino for using too much flash.

I'm really genuinely surprised that you haven't ever taken an African
photo safari. I actually thought of you last night while watching an old
re-run of "Mad Mike & Mark" on Animal Planet. You would be in like 7th
heaven.

Re: 20D: THE BETTER MOUSETRAP !!!

I noticed that your site was last updated in January.
Is that about the normal time between Large Format pics ..... 6 months
or so?
