I picked up a Voigtlander Prominent with Nokton 50mm f/1.5 lens at the local flea market Saturday. Overall it was a pretty easy camera to figure out except for one thing. On the backside of the top plate to the right of the rear viewfider eyepiece is a small flat horizontal bar located inside an indentation. Does anybody know what its purpose is? -- Colyn Goodson http://www.colyngoodson.com

"Colyn" <jcg13@sw_REMOVETHIS_bell.net> skrev i en meddelelse I looked into a copy of the manual and it is to make it easier to insert a film and advance to first frame. Then you don't need to activate the trigger. The manual I have is in german and here is what is written: 14 Sperrlöser zum Aufheben der Transportsperre beim Filmeinlegen Max

If you press it you can continue advancing the film knob. It will not stop at each frame. Max "Colyn" <jcg13@sw_REMOVETHIS_bell.net> skrev i en meddelelse ...

Best place to ask would be www.rangefinderforum.com.
