Advice on inkjet printers

I am now thinking of getting a newer printer than my current Epson Photo
700.
The Epson 1290s is not a new model but has good reviews and perhaps cheaper
ink costs, plus can do A3, although this is not essential for me.
The others that I am looking at are the Epson Photo R800 and the R360 and
the R340.
Can anyone please advise on their experience with these printers and if the
R800 is really a superior printer to the others mentioned?
Thanks a lot for any advice.

Re: Advice on inkjet printers

I don't have any of the models that you mentioned, but for what it's worth I
do have the Epson R320 and I'm very pleased with the quality of the prints
it produces, plus it has the ability to print on inkjet CD's if you're into
that kind of thing!

...
I am a big fan of EPSON
I do need the large size papers
My 1270 lasted over 5 years with moderate usage, I keep a dust cover (cat
hair should not get into your printer)
replaced with R1800, it is great!! and now I can make borderless too, maybe
they added it to the 1290?
Epson has good service they honor the warranty (my first printer died and
they replaced it with an upgraded model when they could not fix it)
a good place to order name brand inks is (USA)
http://www.atlex.com/
I do not use off brands for ink
I like Ilford paper
