Re: phtoshop tutorial

Ok the entry page I will fix it i didnt know what to start up with so
its just there for a few hours untill i fix it. I have also fixed some
links where when you click on the tutorial and it wont show up..
You dont have to be a member to view the tutorials they are open to
everyone.
BubblyBabs, thanks for the advice on the ads i will remove or minimize
them... and IE source is not disabled you can view it.. This whole
portal system is based on Joomla CMS
Well i am going to update all the things that you guys have mentioned
so far so just check back in a few and let me know what yout think.

Re: phtoshop tutorial

Oh, yes, I was going to comment on the splash page myself but forgot...
Shouldn't the entry page have the name of your site on it so it's a nice,
clean looking, informational entry page? Otherwise just skip the entry
page... And that X w/ flames on it does not go with the rest of your site
which has a very nice background...
I have a black background for my own entry page (but then, the graphic on it
is black)...

What's the point of a front page that does nothing but put up a button
to "Enter"?
I've never understood the need some people feel to have a black
background. ("Dr Freud, would *you* care to comment?")

Re: phtoshop tutorial

I agree with the below on the aspect of getting to the tutorials... may I
suggest that the pix of the tutorial as well as a text item next to the pix
be your link to the tutorial page...
otherwise a great concept, and thanks for all you effort to help us newbie's
(and old pro's ) out with learning something new... kk

Looks very pro.
I agree with other comments about the ads, hard to see what was what,
shaping up good though

Re: phtoshop tutorial

...
I really like the background of the main page... Nice paint splatter effect
and good solid coloring... I wanted to see how you did your page but the my
IE sourse button wouldn't work - do you have this function disabled? I like
to see how people made their websites, good way to learn new techniques...
At first I couldn't get into any of the tutorials from the main page.... I
mouse-overed everything but no go... But then I clicked on the comment link
so that I could tell you I couldn't find the tutorial link and wa-lah! I
was in the tutorial...
You do have an awful lot of google ads on your site... They are more
prominent than the links on your site... Unwary visitors will click on the
google links thinking they are your site links and leave your page possibly
never to come back... Shouldn't the google ads at least be below your own
content?
