Re: OT - Image File Recovery Program Recommendations In article <1161199985_55737@sp6iad.superfeed.net>, paladyn@NOgmailSPAM.com says... Thanks for the concern, but no, the Array did not go south. I had the images on the Array, and Moved them to my main workstation to do a DL-DVD BU. It was THERE that the system (brand, spanking new too!) crashed. Since the files were Moved (note to self: always Copy, make BU, then Delete), they're still on the Array, but not accessible, except through recovery utilities. The Array is controled via the MoBo through on-board Promise ROM, so sending in the drives, would require also sending in the MoBo with controller, or finding a controller with the same ROM chip/software. That's why I was looking for a file recovery utility to try and salvage the Moved files. Stellar-Phoenix FAT & NTSF comes very close, but then has a problem with the RAID0. One problem is that the system is WinME/FAT 32, not NTSF. I'll just d-l several other utilities, and see if any of them can get me to where I need to get, before I buy them. I'm so close, as I can see the tree structure with all of the files, just before S-P hangs and their tech dept. hasn't been able to come up with a fix, other than re-format the drives for NTSF, change OS to XP and forget it... should be something out there that will work. Thanks, Hunt Noone@hunt.com (Hunt)
