I hope they're well lit at night...They could be horrendous trip
hazards.....

Re: (October, 30th) Picture of the Week

Thanks for clearing that up, and for the interesting info. I didn't
think they were part of the wedding.

No significance for the Jewish Wedding (well, not as far as I know..).
What you see are the "Colonnes Buren", columns designed by the artist
Daniel Buren and installed in the courtyard of the Palais Royal in
Paris in the mid 1980s.
As you might imagine, they were hugely controversial at the time, as
they are totally out of tune with the Palais Royal itself, a building
which dates from the 18th century.

Re: (October, 30th) Picture of the Week

LOL! I hear ya Bill. Perhaps the pedestals being there has nothing to
do with the wedding. They could have been put there for something
else. Who knows. I've never attended a jewish wedding either. I've
seen some documented on tv and heard from others what it was like.
Sounds like a great time.

Re: (October, 30th) Picture of the Week

Well, the only Jewish wedding I ever attended was my wife's granddaughter,
who married about 3 years ago, down in Marin County North of San Francisco.
There was a lot of symbolism, but no pedestals that I remember....They are
both lawyers, so they needed all the help they could get.....:^)
