Scanning problem.

I have a scanner for business documents which
opens Photoshop 5.5 automatically.
But the first scan shown on Photoshop is
displayed at 50% and all subsequent ones at
33.3%.
How can I make them all display at 33.3% or
at least some other constant size?
Please help.

Thank you very much. Starting PS first has
fixed it!

Re: Scanning problem.

Here are a couple of ideas.
Try moving the tool palette a few pixels away from the edge of the screen.
The initial zoom and positioning of the image may be affected by the
location of the tool palette.
This could also be a startup issue, where the first window is zoomed to a
larger size because initialization is still in progress, and Photoshop
things there is more space available. Try starting Photoshop before your
first scan and see if that causes the images to be zoomed to the same size.

Thank you.
Yet it did before my HHD crash. I thought a
setting might have disappeared.

Re: Scanning problem.

Photoshop displays the images so that it fits on screen, by choosing
from a limited set of sizes (25%, 33%, 50%, 66%, 100%, nothing in
between). You cannot change that. Photoshop also 'tiles' windows if it
opens more than one document, so the windows of the subsequent scans
must be slightly smaller because they are shifted to the right a bit.
That is the reason why they open at 33%; that 50% is apparently a tight
fit. There is nothing you can do about it in Photoshop 5.5.
